What have been the great takeaways and learnings from the last match?
I think they all had a professional performance; they played their role pretty well and read the game really well. There were quite a few a read that we need to be tightening up and improving in our training and planning.
Few words on the Rajasthan Royals squad:
The squad is much capable and we have tried to manage and cover all the areas in terms of batting bowling and fielding they players we have. It’s always the ability of the squad is the real key in executing our strengths and plans and showcase it in the field. The more players will enjoy and do that in the field, the result will take care of itself.
How much positive to have such a set bowling combination?
It’s always great to have such ability and quality to have in your attack and have them available throughout is always a great plus. The bowling and batting together make such an impact in the team and it’s really a confidence booster to have those in the time.
What’s the plan for this season regarding the middle-order?
It’s always time that anyone can struggle in various parts of the game, it’s a part and parcel of the game and life. so, the players understand that too that there will be time like those.
What about the battle with Mumbai Indians?
Yeah, it’s just about the good execution of the skill and playing high intense game.
The pitch and will the heat make a difference in a day game?
Fitness is such a huge part in cricket over the past few years. There will be some time when players do need to take a breather and reassess the condition but the players will take the challenge well.
The role of Lasith Malinga on bowling in the powerplay and death overs:
Just directing the players and keep things simple and telling them how they can approach to the batters in both the times and it’s been such exciting to have him for the players to talk about him and debating about the advises.
Have you received any inputs from Boult and Malinga or NCN about playing against Mumbai?
Well, everyone brings their own spot of knowledge; the players change around in the auction and around. The players now have the experience about playing against various teams now.
