India will begin their Asia Cup 2022 campaign on 28th August against Pakistan to defend their back-to-back trophies.

The fifteenth season of the Asia Cup will see India defending their unbeaten tittle for the last two seasons beating Bangladesh in both occasions in the final. With the T20 World knocking on the door, the T20 version of the tournament is going to be a huge platform to be ready for the ultimate goal.

The competition starting on 27th August will see the arch-rivals, India and Pakistan taking on each other on 28th of August at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai.

How India has changed their approach in the T20 cricket

Rohit Sharma claims that the Indian team’s dismal performance in the most recent T20 World Cup has prompted them to make a significant adjustment in their mindset and strategy.

Speaking on Star Sports show ‘Follow the Blues’, Rohit said, they have made it very clear after the T20 World Cup in Dubai was disastrous, where they didn’t qualify for the finals, that they felt there needed to be a change in their attitude and introspect the issue.

In the Asia Cup, India is the defending champion. Since Team India recently adopted a more aggressive batting plan, Rohit explained how the team is preparing for the next obstacles.

The individuals will try to achieve that if the captain and coach are delivering a clear message about the direction the team is attempting to go. After T20 World Cup in Dubai, Team India changed their approach and they have introspected all departments and they are ready for the Asia cup as well.

India’s advantage and issues that they might face against Pakistan

The UAE will soon host the start of the Asia Cup 2022. Since the end of the last year’s T20 World Cup in UAE, Team India has been performing admirably.

The previous time these two teams faced up, India was humiliated by a loss of 10 wickets the T20 WC. Since that time, Team India has changed and is currently enjoying success, especially in the T20Is. Let’s look at a few of the factors that give India the advantage over Pakistan.

Well settled opening pair:

The starting lineup for the Indian team is seasoned and comfortable. Rohit Sharma looks in great shape and has played in some much-needed games. He is among the best openers to have ever competed in T20Is. In 124 T20I innings, he has a respectable 31.7 average and a scorching 140.17 strike rate with four T20I century.

Although KL Rahul, his partner, is returning from a protracted injury layoff. KL is a seasoned opener and has over the long haul proven reliable. In T20I matches, the returning Indian vice-captain has accumulated 1831 runs at an average of 40.69 and a strike rate of 142.28.

Surya Kumar Yadav Factor:

Since joining the team as a core member, SKY has excelled. The perfect No. 4 for the Indian team is Suryakumar Yadav. He may quickly wrest control of the game from the opposition. SKY has the ability to perform anywhere in the park.

He is Mr. 360 degrees of India. In the middle overs and at the conclusion of the innings, Surya is effective against both pace and spin. Suryakumar Yadav has excelled in Twenty20 cricket. With a strike rate of 175.46 in 21 T20I innings, he has hit a century and five half-centuries.

Strong Lower order:

One thing one’ll notice if they examine any T20 cricket champions winning teams is that they all featured strong and seasoned lower order. The lower-order trio on this Indian team right now is Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, and Dinesh Karthik.

Both Jadeja and Hardik Pandya have become outstanding all-around players. Since the IPL 2022, Pandya has changed drastically as a player. In addition to making runs, he has been bowling vital overs. Jadeja has been useful with both the bat and the bowl despite his recent aches and pains.

Flexible batting lineup and Experienced Spin track:

The batting order for the Indian team appears to be established. Backups are also prepared to step in during emergencies and the necessary positions have been filled. The versatility of the batting line-up, though, shines out and has the potential to be a game-changer for events like the Asia Cup.

At this point, any batter from the starting lineup of seven can bat at any position with equal ease. Hence Spinners will be used when the Asia Cup is played in the UAE. Because of the favorable pitches in the UAE, spinners have always performed well there.

Disadvantage Against Pakistan

Left Arm Pacer is a serious issue for India will face against Pakistan as we have seen already in the T20 World cup against Pakistan in Dubai so Rohit Sharma and co need to introspect this issue and move forward.

However, the news of Shaheen Shah Afridi being ruled out of the tournament can be a huge relief for India.

Players expected to do wonders in batting and bowling

Kohli at three and Sky at four are one of the most important factors for team India batting. Who will bat at number 3 if the previous Indian captain elects to bat at position number four?

Given his recent performance, Suryakumar Yadav would be the ideal option for the T20I and ODI series at the very least. When Kohli wasn’t playing, Shreyas Iyer filled in at number three. Sanju Samson is also a player. What would a shift like that entail for Kohli, though?

Some players, like Suryakumar Yadav, should be given more attention, but not at the expense of Virat Kohli, who is still capable of giving his all. Despite not having reached a century, he is the highest scoring Indian batsman across all formats since the 2019 World Cup.

Thanks to Arshdeep Singh, India’s search for a dependable left-arm pacer has finally ended following Zaheer Khan’s retirement. The left-arm pacer’s performance in IPL 2022, when he bowled the challenging slog overs and again saved his side, impressed many people.

This year, he made his international debut in England, and since, his ball-handling abilities have attracted interest. The 23-year-old received a position in India’s squad for the 2022 Asia Cup after being chosen by the selectors over seasoned bowlers like Mohammed Shami, Deepak Chahar, and Shardul Thakur.

The role of Hardik Pandya, Pant in the squad? Should DK get a chance ahead of Pant:

Since the IPL 2022, when he led Gujarat Titans to their first championship while taking the initiative with both bat and ball, Hardik Pandya has been in exceptional form.

Pandya’s performance as a captain and all-around player in the IPL was so outstanding that it earned him a promotion to the India leadership group and the opportunity to lead the team in two T20 Internationals in Ireland.

In addition to Rishabh Pant contributing with a game-winning ton, the match saw Hardik Pandya excel in both areas of the game. Pandya took full advantage of short deliveries after allowing England to bat first and concluded with 4/24 in 7 overs, which is also his career-best ODI performance. Both Hardik and Rishabh pant is one of the most important members of the Indian team in the current scenario.

Dinesh Karthik’s strong batting performances are raising his chances of being included to India’s team for the upcoming T20 World Cup in 2022. In the fourth Twenty20 International, Karthik hit the game-winning half-century to lead India to a comfortable 82-run victory over the Proteas.

Karthik returned to the Indian team in the current South Africa series after a three-year break. He last played for India at the 2019 ODI World Cup. He was brought on board as a finisher, and thus far, he has performed admirably while batting in the lower middle order for the Men in Blue.

With no Burmah, how Arshdeep is going to perform and talk about his performances in the West Indies

In the five-match series, pacer Arshdeep Singh (3/12) chased after West Indies’ tail to secure the series-clinching victory.

Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh, two young India pacers, bowled with composure as the visitors crushed West Indies by 59 runs to grab a commanding 3-1 lead in the five-match T20I series. After enjoying a couple of prosperous IPL seasons with the Punjab Kings, Arshdeep Singh gained notoriety.

He can be in charge of bringing the fresh ball to Bhuvneshwar Kumar. When the ball is fresh, he knows how to worry the batter. Arshdeep has quickly established himself as a dependable bowler for team India.

His constantly outstanding performances in the lucrative league paved the path for his India debut. In July 2022, the 23-year-old fast bowler’s debut T20I encounter pitted him against England. His nine wickets at an average of 26.35 have been taken in six T20 Internationals. He has a 6.34 economy rate in T20I bowling.

His IPL stats are exceptional. In 37 IPL games, he has 40 wickets at an average of 26.35. Hence Arshdeep Singh is one of the most important bowlers and will pick up wickets at regular intervals and threaten the opposition.so India will benefit from Arshdeep.
